Calling North West & Midlands Makers!

Exciting times in the Wild Rumpus workshop! We’re increasing our pool of freelance makers. Can you help us to create the sets, decor, props and installations that turn our events into adventures into curious and incredible spaces? As our portfolio increases, we have opportunities throughout the year for freelance makers, trainers and volunteers to work with us on a wide range of projects. The kinds of skills we’re interested are:

Prop making

Scenic painting

Carpentry & woodwork

Metalwork

Lantern making

Set design

Sign painting

Prop sourcing

Costume making

Light installation

Sound installation

Projections and programming

Fabric construction

and anything else that can turn our ridiculous dreams into practical reality.

We’re holding an open day for makers in September, and we’d love you to join us, hear more about our work, and tell us about yourself.

** UPDATE – the maker day in September is now full to bursting, so if you haven’t received an email with the details we won’t be able to accommodate you this time but please do still fill in the form so we can find out about you**

Please note, we’re based in a rural location, in a pretty basic barn/workshop. It can get cold in the autumn/winter. Hardy types, unafraid of spiders and mice, will be best suited to join the team!

Looking forward to meeting you all!
