Situated in 4 acres of woodland at Rode Hall in Cheshire, the Whirligig provides flexibility for a range of workshops, some time in the woods to network, develop new material, for creative making purposes, or simply for some time to reflect.

Key features:

  • Woodland – with springtime bluebells
  • Roundhouse – with fire pit
  • Treehouse
  • Caravans
  • Shepherd’s hut
  • Meadow

Capacity:

The woodland caravans and shepherd’s hut sleep a maximum of 16 people. For daytime events we can facilitate up to 30 visitors.

Want to make your Whirligig visit truly unique?

We can provide some added extras to your time here at the Whirligig by arranging facilitators, performers or musicians. If you are developing work, we can help with scratch performances, feedback, and potentially arrange local audiences/participants.

Catering:

We offer a range of catering, from three course dinners to tea, coffees and snacks for an informal half day event. In addition, welcome baskets are available on request – we can equip the caravans with a basket containing tea, coffee, milk, fruit, scones, butter & jam. There is of course also the option of self-catering for your event/stay at the woods.

More details on all of the above are available at the time of booking/enquiry.

How much to hire?

Hiring the Whirligig as a venue is as fairly priced as possible with our prices based on your individual needs.
