Wild Rumpus win Small Business of the Year

We were over the moon to be recognised as Small Business of the Year at the 2017 Northern Soul awards.

The awards, hosted by Lemn Sissay MBE aim to celebrate and reward artistic and cultural excellence in the North of England.

Announcing the win at the ceremony at the Hilton Manchester, the judges stated that Wild Rumpus is an innovative northern company with excellent growth year on year with such a small team. They were very fascinated by the entry as it successfully brought a valuable organisation to life.

Sarah Bird and Rowan Hoban, Directors of Wild Rumpus say we are thrilled to be recognised with this prestigious award from Northern Soul. Wild Rumpus present large scale, imaginative, outdoor arts events for families. We have had an incredible year presenting our own events including the Just So Festival, as well as working internationally in Brazil and New Zealand and together  with other wonderful organisations across the region such as our partners  across the Without Walls, Big Imaginations and Northern Festivals Networks, National Trust, Chester Zoo, Stoke On Trent City Council and CityCo in Manchester. Together we are raising the bar and pushing the boundaries of excellent outdoor arts experiences for families.  Thanks to all our colleagues and partners for all of your support along the way, helping us make a stronger sector together and creating such invaluable and memorable experiences for families to treasure.
