Oh my word, it’s nearly half term already – where on earth is this year disappearing to so quickly? At least there are good things on the horizon – Bonfire Night just happens to be one of my favourite nights of the year, with its glorious fiery flavours of parkin and toffee apple whisking me straight back to my north-east childhood. Rowan’s more of a Halloween girl – all that dressing up I think, she’s always been one for a touch of the theatricals!
Speaking of which, we’re full steam ahead for our first ever public event at the Whirligig, a fantastical dramatical cinematical, we can’t wait for you to come and visit the woods and be wowed by Compagnie Animotion.
But we wouldn’t be getting up to such crazy antics if we weren’t part of the Big Imaginations Children’s Theatre Festival. For two weeks 15 venues across the North West from grand auditoriums to rural village halls and everything in between, it will bring you a huge array of theatre for children aged 0-12. The mission is to spark the imagination of children with the wonder of theatre.
So have a look and see what’s on offer over your half term holidays, we quite fancy the Icebook the world’s first projection mapped pop-up book.
Hope to see you at the Whirligig soon.
