Wild Rumpus Research

As you probably know (because we don’t stop banging on about it), we believe that when families engage in the arts in natural landscapes, something quite amazing can happen. We feel really strongly that when families play, dance, paint, listen to and watch amazing art in beautiful outdoor spaces, it can be a completely different and more transformative experience than indoors.

We wanted to delve a bit more deeply into this, so we¬†commissioned The Big Art People and Abigail Gilmore (Institute for Cultural Practices, University of Manchester) to research how families perceive arts events in natural landscapes . The result is this report. If you’re interested, we’d love you to read it.
